About bonsai

The art of bonsai is a miniature replica of a large tree found in nature, captured in a pot. It is a powerful yet subtle representation of the majesty of Mother Earth and a celebration of the beauty of nature. The ideology of bonsai is based on Zen philosophy, in which spirituality is expressed through minimalist aesthetics. Bonsai is a spiritual exercise and a reflection of the soul and symbol of the person who cares for it. “Bon-sai” literally means “planted in a container” in Japanese, and is an ancient horticultural art form that originated in China during the Han Dynasty and continued to develop in Japan.

About the park

Japanese gardens around the world have been cultivated for centuries and still fascinate with their perfection and poise. Our garden embodies peace, invites you to slow down the daily rush and become more present and attentive to yourself, nature and the environment around you. The unique shape of each small tree, their reflection in the water, the babbling sound of the stream and Japanese architecture provide garden visitors with a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere, as well as reminding them of the uniqueness of each garden visitor. Our gates are open to anyone who wants to see, enjoy, learn and take something home with them.

About us

The hobby, which twenty years ago from a visit to China brought home to Latvia, began with insignificant attempts to create at least one bonsai tree, and has now grown into a park, to which we invite you. It seems that, as the saying goes, happiness is complete only when it can be shared, this time the right place will be. Thus, we complement our Bonsai path with the functions of a social enterprise. The most motivating factor for continuing what we have started and developing new facets in our Japanese-style garden, not only by looking at the trees, but also by meeting during festive moments, organizing gatherings, concerts or master classes, is the joyful eyes of visitors.
